How to Measure Your New Pool Enclosure

Step 1:  Measure the Height of Your Gutters

• Using a tape measure, measure the distance from the top of your gutters to the deck.
• Write this number down as your gutter height

Step 2:  Measure All Outside Walls

• Measure the length of each outside wall of the pool area. 
• Write down the measurement for each wall. 

Step 3:  Calculate the Total Wall Area

• Add up the lengths of all the walls; this is the total wall length. 
• Multiply the total wall length by the gutter height. 
• Write down this number as your wall area (square footage). 

Step 4:  Measure the Roof Area

• Identify the two longest walls (usually opposite each other). 
• Multiply the length of these two walls together. 
• Write down this number as your roof area (square footage). 

Step 5:  Calculate the Total Square Footage

• Add the wall area and the roof area together. 
• Write this number down as your total square footage.
